Top of the Rock
This outdoor observatory is located on the top floor of the GE Building Rockefeller Center . From 70th floor fabulous views of the city are obtained.
The Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 buildings built by the Rockefeller family in central Manhattan between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
The buildings are styled Art Deco and works started in 1930.
The GE building was completed in 1933, being the first to have the elevators grouped in the central core. It was in the construction of this building that took the famous photograph Lunch Atop a Skyscraper .
The viewpoint Top of the Rock is an alternative to Empire State , since this is not as crowded, although the two are worth.
Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
