The Fifth Avenue

Fifth Avenue is one of the most famous and important roads in the city of New York.

It is one of the most expensive, especially among the streets 49 and 60 where the luxury shops, and the most expensive penthouses in the city.

It houses the Museum Mile , the Museum Mile, above 59th Street, among which are the Museum of African Art Museo del Barrio , the Museum of the City of New York , the Jewish Museum National Design Museum , the Solomon R. Guggenheim , the Met , or Neue Galerie New York, stationed in mansions acquired by cultural institutions.

It is the street that divides its perpendicular streets east and west.

It may be some of the most important tourist spots such as Empire State Building at number 350, the Flatiron Building in the number 175, the New York City Public Library at the junction with 42nd St, the Rockefeller Center between 49th and 50th St or St. Patrick’s Cathedral between 50th and 51th St.

How to get there: Lines 4 and 6 of Metro circulate parallel to the avenue and almost all the other lines in the cross above Lower Manhattan.
