It was created in 1937 to show the private collection of Solomon Guggenheim modern art. Initially called Museum of Non-Objective Painting .

The current location since 1959 is in the peculiar building designed by architect Frank Lloy Wright . It took over fifteen years to complete due to the controversy that I believe, was ten years older Solomon Guggenheim died six months and the architect himself.

Currently the works come from private collections and donations, and range from s late. XIX to the present .

Entry Fee: Adults $ 18, seniors over 65 and students $ 12, children under 12 free. Saturdays from 17.45 to 19.45 you pay what you want.
